Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi - Sectoral Technical and Economic Co - operation - এর সংক্ষিপ্ত রুপ হলো BIMSTEC, যা ১৯৯৭ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। এর সদর দপ্তর ঢাকায় অবস্থিত আর এর সদস্য সংখ্যা ৭টি। সদস্য দেশগুলো হলো - বাংলাদেশ , ভারত , শ্রীলংকা থাইল্যান্ড , মিয়ানমার , নেপাল ও ভুটান। এটি একটি অর্থনৈতিক প্রতিষ্ঠান।
